Hello parents!

For this holiday season of thanksgiving we did a number of activites to celebrate, as well as reinforce some vocabulary! We played hot potato where the winner would say “Estoy agradecido por… (I am thankful for…)” and name one or two things they are grateful for. Later we made a Thankful tree that has their hands as leaves and states what they are grateful for. It is up on the wall near room 13 if you wish to look at it. We also made a thank you card for Mrs. Moore, the teacher for room 13 who so graciously let’s us use her room. Very sweet.
For Tuesday, we played Thanksgiving Dinner where they were divided into families, (a mamá, a papá, and niños) and I served them imaginary turkey, salad, potatos and pie. They practiced some vocabulary we had learned last month:

La mesa- table
El tenedor- fork
La cuchara- spoon
El cuchillo- knife
La servilleta- napkin

La ensalada- salad
El pavo- turkey
El Postre- dessert
El pastel de manaza- apple pie
El pastel de calabaza- pumpkin
La manzana- apple
