“Stephen, Michael and I started i-Immersion with the vision that one day, every child in our community will speak another language.  This is what makes i-Immersion so unique- we have a personal goal to achieve and are driven to make it happen! Since we cannot do it alone, we have set up different programs suitable for children and families of all language levels, ages 0 to 11 years old.  What keeps me going every day is meeting new parents who share my passion and working with communities that understand the importance of investing in a long-lasting foreign language program to strengthen the education system in the United States.” -Alice

12.10.2011 iiSchool banner v2 1024x791 Programsi-Immersion partners with public and private schools, as well as the school districts, to offer after school programs to the students.  Some after school programs accept students from other communities.  Our iiSchool programs have flexible schedule offerings, typically between 2-5 days per week for a minimum of 2 hours per day.  For optimal learning experience, students are grouped into classes of K-1, G2-3, and G4-5, although initial classes during the first year will have a mix-age class of K-G5.  Overtime, it is i-Immersion’s goal to create an age-appropriate and balanced class where students are progressing with their peers.  Comprehensive programming for the iiSchool may include homework, snack, playground, etc. A successful and sustaining iiSchool program needs collaboration from active parent supporters to create an i-Immersion Board.  For more information about our iiSchool program or to bring it to your school, please visit the iiSchool page and contact our office directly to set up an orientation and open house event.

12.10.2011 iiCamp banner v2 1024x791 ProgramsDuring the summer, winter, and spring breaks, i-Immersion offers a half-day and full-day camp to optimize foreign language learning opportunities.  Unlike the iiSchool program where students learn in a fun, academic setting, the iiCamp brings creative physical and cultural activities for families that are looking for a “quick exposure”.  Camps are typically offered on a weekly basis with engaging themes.  Some of the previous fun themes we’ve had included “Let’s Ride a Pirate Ship!”, “ Let’s Go to the Jungle!” and Chinese Martial arts/Capoeira.  The iiCamp our most engaging and exciting program that most iiSchool and iiCare students enroll as an enhancement to their regular semester i-Immersion class.

12.10.2011 iiCare banner v2 1024x791 Programsi-Immersion connects a network of licensed at-home daycare and preschool programs that utilize the i-Immersion curriculum while providing childcare services.  These programs are typically infant-Prek and may offer the foreign language portion between 1-5 days per week.  The iiCare program provides maximum exposure at a minimum of 6 hours per day.  The Caregivers, Teachers, and Site Staff are caring, dedicated, and bilingual individuals looking to bring more than just care and play to their daycare and preschool programs.  Parents contact the site owner to learn more about their care services and the foreign language offering.
