Langokids Language Play Class (Intro-Intermediate)

• For beginning-intermediate student [14 months-grade 4]
• Focuses on listening and speaking
• Music, dance, stories, games & active play
• Engages kids in language exploration through natural immersion process
• Upon graduating from Langokids classes, students will continue to the Goals Academic class (starting at K and up)
• For families with an interest in the language and are looking for a casual, less academic classroom environment

Music and movement form the foundation for the classes, as the children sing simple, rhythmic songs and dance, run, spin and jump around the room! Meanwhile,they become familiar with more complex aspects of the language by engaging in “adventures,” tactile and movement-based games that require them to solve simple problems – in their new language, of course! These adventures, starring the Lango Kids, our multicultural cast of characters, take students to other lands and cultures to ensure that their language instruction is combined with cultural exposure. For the toddler classes, they are great for parents and caregivers who want to learn a new language alongside their children!

Goals Academic Class (Intro-Advanced)

• For beginning-advanced student [K-grade 8]
• Each level focuses on different aspects of language acquisition- conversation, listening, reading, writing, and presentations
• Simplified characters and pinyin practice
• Engages kids in language exploration through natural immersion process
• For families with long-term plan in committing their child in the language learning process

The standard classes introduce a well-rounded curriculum for listening, speaking, writing, and reading the foreign language. Our instructors use playful and engaging teach techniques and hands-on activities to help students understand not just the language but the culture, too. Students will learn simplified Chinese and pinyin. Please see a chart with class expectations for each language level to help determine which class your child should enroll in.

• Pre-registration is required for all classes! In-class registrations are accepted at some locations.

• Register early! Many classes fill before their starting dates.
• Classes may be canceled if there is low enrollment.
• All registrations are taken on a first come first serve basis.
• We will email you to confirm your registration, so please make sure the email address given at time of registration is correct.
• Pro-rate class is available at most retail and some school-based classes.
